Dear Audrey,

You have a cold. Your first cold. I feel like this is a milestone in your life. The first of many colds to come. You are a bit fussy, but considering, you are handling it so well. You coughed a bit at first but now you just have the sniffles. It's pretty cute, actually. So it can't be that bad. I might have freaked out just a tad when you started coughing. I might have overreacted a bit. But I'm okay now. We're okay now. Okay, so I'm a little nuts. It runs in the family. You have a lot to look forward to.

Anyway, I love you. Feel better soon. And stop freaking out when I wipe your nose. It seriously isn't that bad.

Loooooove,
Mom.

  3. So scary when our babies get sick for the first time (and second, and third...) It is perfectly normal for you to freak out! Audrey is growing so fast, and sooo cute. She is lucky to have such loving parents :) x

  4. Aww, I definitely feel your pain on how scary it is when your baby gets sick for the first time! I felt it with every new sort of sickness: the first time my son got a cold, the first time he threw up (like, real throw-up, not just spit-up), the first time he... well, I won't go into too much detail. But I promise, she'll be 18 one day and it will be cute that it was that scary once!

  8. AWWW, little Audrey E. I love that you post these letters for us all to enjoy. She will treasure them too one day.
Look at the concerned look on her little face as if to be telling you she isn't herself today.

    love you little Audrey!!
