Home At Last

Hanging out at airports

Our trip is over and we are home at last. Visiting my family went by too quickly and the time we spent hanging out in airports felt like a lifetime.

Saying goodbye to my family again was hard. Really hard. I miss them so much and wish we lived closer. My heart needs them. But it is SO GOOD being home. Audrey is still really jet lagged (poor baby!) and is totally out of sorts, but I think she likes being home too.

And I've missed YOU guys! We had hardly any downtime while we were away so I chose to spend any little time we did have with my family, but I missed my little blog!

I have lots planned, lots of photos from our trip, and lots to share with you!

YAY! Home is a good thing.

  1. Eeeeee! I'm so glad you're home! But I'm sad you're so far away from your side of the family. They should move here too. ;) Can't wait to catch up some more - you know you're gonna get more squeezes from me!!

  3. I can totally empathize with how hard it is living away from your family, in a different country. My husband is Canadian, and while we now live back in Australia close to my family, we did spend a few years living in Canada and saying goodbye after holiday visits was just heartbreakingly hard! How thankful I was then for Skype (and now FaceTime) to bridge the gap that that rather large Pacific Ocean brings!

It sounds like you packed a lot into your visit home, which is so wonderful! :)

  7. Welcome home (A little late I realise!) I can imagine the wrench is so hard to be so far away.... 1 home but a heart that lives in 2 places?
