Afternoon at the Park

Today I washed the dishes, folded all the clean cloth nappies, vacuumed, and tidied up really early so I figured, "What the heck" and took Squirrel and Audrey to the park to run around.

Audrey had her first steps shortly before her first birthday then learned how to walk while we were away on our USA trip. Now it all of a sudden it seems that she is so much older! She isn't a baby baby anymore. She can run around the park and explore on her own two feet.

I couldn't help but smile as she ran around me giggling and hanging onto my legs.
She picked up a single blade of grass to show me, and I thought my heart would burst.
I had to giggle when she tripped and got her hands dirty. She hates having dirty hands.

I used my shirt to wipe her hands, then I gave her a kiss. I love her. And she'll always be mine.

xoxo

  1. Aww! I love the monster walk that babies have when they first learn how to walk. They can shake the whole house the way they do it, and they only weigh like 20 lbs...

    1. It's so funny! She's slowly getting more steady on her feet. Her determination is so severe!

  3. She's such a sweet little lady now! I love the way babies look when they start to walk with those cute unbalanced steps. Her little shoes are so cute too.

    1. Me too! I love it! I love how they walk around with their arms outstretched and waving around to help balance them out. It kills me.
