Audrey: Wearing my favorite Mexican dress, deep in observation.

I love my serious girl.

I've decided that, to challenge myself this year, I will start taking the 52 Project portraits on manual. No more auto for me. It's already made a huge difference! Compare this week's with the previous week's photos. I'm finding that it takes me a long time to get the settings right. Sometimes it takes me so long to get the settings right, it feels like I am missing some "moments". But the photos that I DO get are really lovely. They feel more honest and genuine. Less distracting from being overexposed or this or that. BONUS: less editing. ;)

    Love the intensity of children when they're fixated on something. My son is always giving me these 'camera looks' I call them! Her little curls and dress are just adorable, thanks for sharing!
