Learning Letters

Me and Audrey were sitting on the floor "drawing" the other day and I drew the letter A. Audrey looked at it then said, "A!" Then after a pause.. "Uuuuew!"
I basically freaked out, but took it as coincidence. Curious I asked,
"Wow! That's right, Audrey! What comes next?"
"Deeeee!"
"Good job, Baby!!!" Still freaking out. Majorly freaking out. I paused and wait for her to say something next.
"Awwrr"
A roar of applause from me. I'm shocked. "What comes after R?"
"eeeeeee"
"And this letter?"
"Y!" (Her favorite letter. She points one out every time she sees one. I die.)

My baby can spell her own name. Before she's two. And I'm ridiculously proud.

Wooden Name Puzzle

So yeah. We're a little obsessed with this wooden puzzle over here. Audrey carries it all over the house and proudly points out the letters that she's memorized due to said obsession with the puzzle. As soon as I saw this puzzle I knew that it was for us. And I was right.

Audrey points to each letter and looks at me for confirmation of what they're each called repeating each letter after me. That's how she learned to spell her name. She loves learning and I hope she never loses that.

The wooden puzzle is from Stuck On You. Each puzzle is beautifully crafted and boasts gorgeous bright colors in your child's name. Custom made! I mean come on! I love that. The wooden puzzles are safe for your kiddos too. Lead free & MDF free. I love that too.

  7. ^^^ ATTICUS!!!! ^^^ Dream name!!!! Zan wouldn't let me... Hence naming our Christmas elf Atticus... AAAAANYway, done being distracted! I'm being a giveaway slut and entering all of these comps, even though I was sent something to review too!!! I know, selfish much?! But seriously, Atticus has to win it. Mind you, he already wins, with a name like that...

    1. yay! I second this comment! But seriously, thanks. That and his middle name (Oliver) were literally the only two names my husband and i could agree on. He was pushing for Oliver to be the first name, but we're both glad I won the battle :) He has the best nicknames....and a great namesake.

  9. Go Audrey how clever! I would love one for Isabelle - she is learning to spell her name too thanks to a toy dog that sings her name which was a gift from my Dad... This puzzle would help her to the realms of super genius! (ha ha!)
