Making Plans

These past few weeks have been crazy just juggling between planning wedding stuff, planning for visa stuff, travel plans, working full time, and hanging out with Bieow-Bieow that I don't seem to get very far in any direction! This weekend though, we worked quite a bit on wedding stuffs. I am so pleased to be making progress!

This morning though, I got stuck in wedding mode and found some of the cuuuutest stuff around and thought I would share some of the inspiration!

I found the cutest cake toppers!

This weekend I ...

Cleaned my room, listened to vinyl, opened the windows, straightened my hair, went out to breakfast with my mom, organized my new crafts, took some stuff to storage, sold some yarn, paid some bills, worked on wedding stuff, FINISHED MY QUILT!, talked to Phil on the phone (lots and lots, yes please), hung out with Bieow Bieow (and the rest of my family), turned on the air conditioning, turned on the heater (it got cold again), and watched Battlestar Gallactia.

Not in that order.

Progress shot of my quilt!

I'll take some proper pictures later.

What did you do this weekend?

It's the little things.

If you know me, you know that I love lists -- and now that you know I love lists, you know me a little better.

The weekend is finally here and will soon be gone. So much to do and so little time! I need direction. I need a plan of action. I need a list that I will most likely ignore. So what if I only cross one or two things off my lists? So what if I don't always use them? It is still SO satisfying.

Here's my to-do list for the weekend. My lists usually look just like this one, but are usually handwritten in awful handwriting on a sticky note that will end up on the floor somewhere.

I like nice and easy goals. It severely increases my chances for crossing things off. See above.

I've recently acquired a ton of music from some friends of mine and have been listening to all sorts of great music, but I'm completely stuck on this song which is not new to me. I love Feist. Enjoy!

P.S. -- Bon Iver does an incredible cover of this song. Incredible.

P.S. -- Because so many have asked, I'm updating with the proposal story soon! :)

Oh Boy...

So I am often the worst blogger. I know this. I don't mind saying it. Honesty is key, right?

I went to Australia to visit my boyfriend, then we flew to New Zealand to visit his family and see the countryside. We're engaged!!

I wanted to share a few photos from the trip, just a quick rundown of some of the highlights.

In Australia we took pictures of our matching cat shirts. We are kind of awesome.

There's a beautiful river that cuts through the city of Hamilton (where Phil is from). There's some parks along the riverside.

We went on a road trip in NZ to this rabbit farm called the Shearing Shed!

The country side was so gorgeous.

Angora Rabbit

The bunnies were cute too!! Phil bought me some angora fiber to spin something nice for myself. I'm so excited!!

I have tons more photos to upload still and there are lots more to see on flickr. You can browse through some of them here:
