We have a little habit around here of letting mail and keys pile up on the kitchen counters. It's been happening for way too long and I've finally found a solution! Me and Phil found this old spice rack in a thrift store and decided to give it new life as a letter holder to keep things a bit more organized. It's super simple to make too!
All you'll need is an old spice rack, twine, screw-in hooks, and two small nails.
Begin by nailing one nail on each side of the rack leaving about 1/4" of the nail sticking out. Secure one end of the twine to one of the nails. Stretch the twine across to the other nail and tie securely. This will keep the mail from falling off.
Next, mark where you want the hooks spaced on the bottom of the rack and screw them in. Finished! Now you're ready to hang your new letter holder.
This project is so simple and satisfying. You can easily finish this project within 10-15 minutes.
Now you're ready to clear the clutter from your life. Or at least the kitchen countertops. ;)
