"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013."
Audrey: We made cookies together for the first time. You were over the moon about making cookies! I measured the ingredients and you poured them in. You tasted the dough over and over.. and over... with a shy smile on your face. When it came time to roll out the dough you were SO excited about using your new cookie cutter in your favorite shape--a star. And THEN when I brought out the sprinkles you couldn't believe your luck. I'll never forget the look on your face as we viewed the finished cookies and then we retired to the lounge to have a glass of milk and a fresh warm cookie. You danced in circles and kept singing "happy birthday" to yourself. Your eyes were brighter, your smile was bigger, and you were SO PROUD of your accomplishment. You insisted on showing the cookies to all your stuffed animals. You make my world go round. I love you.
Margaret: My sweet girl. Our hearts have quickly made room for you and we couldn't imagine life without you. Your sister loves you SO MUCH and is keen to keep a close eye on you when I'm not around. You are two weeks old. Already. I can't believe it. You gained 310 grams this week and I couldn't be prouder! You're so soft, you smell SO GOOD, and I can't seem to keep you out of my arms for long. When I'm not holding you I miss you. You make my world go round. I love you.

For those of you a bit sick of the 52 project posts... I'm sorry! I've been busy cuddling my girls and haven't had much time for blogging. I plan to get back to the regular schedule... sometime. ;) But for now I'm enjoying these moments that pass WAY TOO quickly.
