This week I've made something that I've wanted to do for a long time! I made my own chalkboard from scratch.
I used the inside of an old cupboard that is lined with vintage paper. Such a cool find! (Thanks, husband.) I painted the face of the board with chalkboard paint. I mixed up some chalkboard paint myself using this tutorial on A Beautiful Mess.
This DIY was easy peasy and only took about 15 minutes! Now I have a pretty chalkboard that I can write the rest of my crafty to-do's on. ;)
Are you working on anything crafty at the moment?

Sooo cool - totally pinning and doing this! Jenny :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jenny! Pin away! ♥
DeleteVery nice indeed!! Never heard of chalkboard paint, you have just given me an idea.
ReplyDeleteI love DIY chalkboards. Yours came out lovely. I did some small ones a few months ago and enjoyed how easy they were to make. Also love the vintage covering on the back - just darling!
ReplyDeleteI so love the idea of committing to complete one project a week! I think if I planned it out that way, it wouldn't get so overwhelming (since I usually start thinking all at once "Jeesh, I have to finish this, and this, and this...") I love your creativity, Talia!
ReplyDeleteMy next project! Yours looks beautiful, I love the idea of having a covered backside to it, even though mine will be fixed to the wall.. :)
ReplyDeleteHow lovely. Chalkboards are the best!
ReplyDeleteIts beautiful post about Chalkboards. According to me Chalkboards are best for write notices. You have given useful information for me because I need to purchase chalkboard but now I try your idea for chalkboard.
